Student Visa

  1. Cancellation after submission of application documents:
    The application fee is non-refundable.
  2. If you cancel after receiving your Certificate of Eligibility and paying all fees:
    Only tuition fees will be refunded. Application fee and other fees are non-refundable.

Rejected Visa
Students, who are unable to obtain the appropriate authorization from Japanese Embassy (Consulate), are entitled to a refund for 100% tuition fee, but application fee, registration fee, and bank service fee will be deducted and 12,000 yen administration fee will be charged. In order to obtain the refund, the student must notify the school in writing.

Postponement or changes to enrolment

Two weeks notice is needed to postpone your program. After postponement, there will be no refund even if the student cannot begin the class.

Cancellation

Refund before classes begin:

  1. If a student cancels two weeks or more before classes begin, ELS will refund the tuition fees.
  2. If a student cancels less than two weeks before classes begin, ELS will refund 75% of the tuition fees.

Refund after classes begin:

  1. If a student is completed less than 10% of the class, ELS will refund 50% of the tuition fees. However, this is only possible if there is a valid reason, such as returning to your home country.
  2. If a student is completed less than 20% of the class, ELS will refund 30% of the tuition fees. However, this is only possible if there is a valid reason, such as returning to your home country.
  3. If a student is completed more than 20% of the class, no refund will be given.

Payments/ Tuition fees

School must receive full payment of the tuition fees from the students. It is students’ responsibility to pay any service fees involved with their payments to the school.
With any fees as a result of the student’s cancellation and refund before and after class to the student, ELS will deduct any bank service fee, any administration fees or any courier service fee involved with students’ payment which can be sent to the student.


Short-term courses

  1. If you cancel more than two weeks before the start of classes:
    Registration fee is non-refundable.
  2. If you cancel within two weeks before the start of classes:
    50% of the tuition fee is non-refundable.
  3. If you cancel after the start of classes:
    No refunds are possible.
