About the School :

Q : How many students are in one class?

Our classes are made of 8/10 students max. We think that having class approximately of this size, students can learn by having attention the attention they need.


Q : Although I have never studied Japanese, can I still join EVERGREEN?
Yes, we have classes for beginners, but we ask that you learn to read and write Hiragana and Katakana before coming to Japan. With an hour of practice per day, you should be able to master it in about a couple weeks.


Q : Do the teachers give explanations in other languages during class time?

Since there are students from different countries and they speak different languages, our teachers use only Japanese to explain. However, we can assist you in English when you need help with something outside of school.


Q : Can I extend my length of study once the course has started?

Of course, you can extend it. Jusk ask the school staff to know more about it!


Q : Will I earn a degree or a diploma after completing my Japanese Language Course?

Yes, you will receive an official diploma in case you have attended at least 1 year. In short term course you will get an authenthic certificate of completing your studies.


Q : Does the school have Wi-Fi available?

Yes, Wi-Fi free in all of our classes.


Q : Do teachers assign homework?

Yes, our teachers give homeworks on the things studied in class but not so many! So don`t worry!


Q : the textbook available with explanations in other languages?

At the beginning level, the textbook we use has an accompanying grammar explanation written in a wide variety of languages – English, French, German, Russian, Thai, Portuguese, etc. The textbooks used in the intermediate classes likewise have a grammar explanation written in English.


Q : What sort of test to I need to take to enter a Japanese university or Vocational School?

We help students better understand the requirements of the university or Vocational School. They wish to attend and to do well on the exams necessary for admission.
Most universities require students to take the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU). Vocational Schools require students to take the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT).


Q : If my attendance or grades are bad what happens to my visa?

If your attendance rate is below 80% or you have poor grades, it will be difficult to renew your student visa. Many students maintain 90% or above and go on to higher education.

You can apply three times a year (April, July and October).

Life in Japan :

Q : Can I get a part time job?

If you have a student visa, you can work part-time for up to 28 hours a week!
When you arrive at the airport, don’t forget to get your residence card and permission for activities outside the scope of your status of residence.


Q : How does it work the insurance system in Japan?

You will have to pay the 30% of your medical expences. The remaning 70% is charged to the national Health Insurance system. Students generally enroll in the National Health Insurance system once they arrive in Japan. Under this system, you must pay monthly premiums. You enroll at the civic center of the ward where you reside in Tokyo. The cost varies depending upon the ward where you live but the cost for one year is usually around ¥15,000. If you are an employee, you have to pay several times that amount. Students are given preferential treatment in Japan.


Q : How much does it cost a Sim card, the National Insurance and so on?

Generally you can have a sim card for about 2,000 yen with 3/5 gigabyte.
